The League City public boat ramp at 1399 North Egret Bay Blvd is scheduled to be temporality closed starting October 12 so work can begin on major renovation project to make the popular launch safer, more accessible, and easier to use. The ramp, which is located under the FM 270 bridge at Clear Creek, is anticipated to reopen to the public in the spring of 2027.

Renovations to the 35-year-old facility include:

• Improvements and upgrades to all three boat ramps.
• Bulkhead rehabilitation to help protect the waterfront and extend the facility’s lifespan.
• New and upgraded docks to provide improved access for boaters.
• Upgrades to walkways and decking for better safety and accessibility.
• New dock bumpers to provide added protection for boats.
• Parking lot and sidewalk improvements to make getting to and from the ramp easier.
• Accessibility upgrades to make the facility more handicapped accessible.

The $2 million project is being partially offset by a grant from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, helping the City make significant improvements to this longtime Clear Creek amenity.
