Why Develop a Strategic Plan?

The Helen Hall Library is accredited by the Texas State Library and Archives Commission. To maintain its accreditation, a long-range plan for the library must be reviewed and updated every five years. This most recent accreditation process provides the Helen Hall Library with an opportunity to evaluate and review its current processes, identify what areas need improvement, and develop a roadmap for the future.

It also offers a unique opportunity to engage residents and solicit their feedback so the library can better respond to the needs and wants of our community. By doing so, we will elevate trust between the library and its patrons.
