Countryside South Drainage Improvements
This project reduces the potential for structural inundation of homes within Countryside South. The existing drainage swales in existing drainage reserves will be reestablished and widened to carry excess water from the streets to Magnolia Creek.

Oaks of Clear Creek North Detention Pond
This project constructs a new 60 acre-feet detention pond on a15-acres north of The Oaks of Clear Creek Subdivision, with access from State Highway 3.
In addition, storm sewer improvements within The Oaks of Clear Creek Subdivision will help direct stormwater flows to the new detention pond. The primary component is expected to be a new storm sewer line along Coleman Boylan Drive, which would discharge into the proposed detention pond.

Hughes Land & W. Deats Road:
The purpose of this project is to alleviate some of the flooding experienced in the Bay Colony area. This will be accomplished by widening and deepening Borden’s Gully and replacing the culvert crossings at Hughes Lane and W. Deats Road with larger box culverts, which will reduce flow constrictions of Borden’s Gully.

Interurban-Wilkins North Detention Pond
This drainage project includes:
- Building a regional detention pond on the undeveloped land along Galveston Street.
- Repairing roadside ditches and culverts on Galveston Street.
- Add storm sewers, drains, and road improvements on Wilkins Street.
These improvements will help reduce flooding and improve drainage on Wilkins Street, Saunders Street, and Galveston Street, and will also help the Interurban watershed.
