What milestones have we already achieved?
Since the project’s kick off in April, the project team, consisting of a Technical Advisory Committee (TAC), Stakeholder Steering Committee (SSC) and consultant team, has been analyzing the area's existing conditions, including mobility, drainage, and environmental constraints. A Market Study is also being prepared to provide current demographic and market trends that will inform the preparation of the draft Land Use Plans. Once drafts of the Future Land Use Plan have been prepared, they will be shared for feedback in a future public meeting. Stay tuned for more information.
To guide the plan development, a Technical Advisory Committee and Stakeholder Steering Committee were established for this project. The TAC provides ongoing detailed feedback to the consultant team as they analyze existing conditions and prepare recommendations. The SCC was established to provide high-level review of the drafts plan options and provide historical background to honor the landowner's legacies.

Talk About Town Survey Results
- To ensure the Future Land Use Plan is a collective vision of the entire community, feedback is being gathered from the general public throughout the process, starting with a survey conducted this past Spring.
- The survey conducted from January to June of 2024, collected 1,300 responses from League City residents. People were asked to choose from different types of development they wish to see on the Westside of town.
- Residents wanted active and enhanced parks, undeveloped park land, family centered entertainment, retail and dining options, mixed use projects and single-family housing developments.
Results!
Respondents were asked to rank ten land uses from their top priority to the least priority and the highest ranked land uses. The survey feedback below will be integrated during the land use drafting process.
